Cactus ID?

I have this decent sized cactus growing in the yard. It was given to us by a neighbor, whose cactus always drops limbs. It doesn't have spines that I have noticed.

2 questions.

1. What type is it?
2. Is it safe to be fed to sulcatas and redfoots?

Yes, this is the edible, spineless opuntia that we're always talking about. The older pads are the most nutritious.

Thanks! I never know where to start with IDing plants, especially cactus since there's so many different types. I was thinking (now that I know its edible) about planting more for free food. I'll feed sparingly as I read about its laxative quality.
