I got this idea from the Arizona game and fish department and my russian tortoises have been loving it. They do something similar for their desert tortoise, but I put a spin on it. I used some spare roofing shingles and nails to create a roof. I love how the slope provides them with exercise and how the front mound blocks rain from coming in. Their humid hide will be a lot simpler. Just a kiddies pool nailed into the ground and an entrance point?
