Burrow or shelter?

Hello, Tom, "Bert" and our other tortoise friends. I have Mac as my profile picture and you all followed the chronicles of moving Mac from NM to AZ back in March. Tom, we made the hot house like you suggested - radiant heat over the pig blanket, thermostatically controlled. Because neither Big Bert (my brother-in-law) nor his lovely wife (and my lovely sister) cannot manage a heavy door, we built a swinging door. Apparently, it has warped with the monsoons in Arizona. The top is removable (with a few adults); I don't remember if we put shingles on it? Mac has an awesome, large enclosure with the burrow as Bert described. I'm glad that Bert is now on the forum for additional help!

These are the coldest nights we have ever had to deal with. Mac is warm and dry as we speak.
