Built a Tortoise table out of quarantine boredom.

Hi Everyone,

I’ve been lurking around this forum for a little bit now, and glad that I found this forum! Over this past weekend my friend and I built a tortoise table / media set up to replace my tortoises old enclosure (cement mixer lol). Don’t mind the uvb bulb sticking out of the clamp on, I am waiting for a a mercury vapor bulb to come in.

Will you have a lid to keep in humidity? It’s very important.looks really nice

Biggest issue I see... poor little guy is gonna get neck pains sitting in the front row. Also, what gives with not giving him the remote control?! Sheesh... humans think they are the center of the universe!!!

I will not be having a lid, however I do spray down the table everyday 2x a day. As well as my weekly clean up, I make sure the substrate isn’t dried out, and moisten and mix it up as needed. And now adding to it, thanks to iAmCentrochelyssulcata, I’ll lightly spray Marvin’s shell mid day. I also make sure his sleeping area is humid throughout the day / night.

did some changes to the scape today. Just waiting for a few more things to come in to finish it up (for now)

I would say 2-3 times a week for 30 mins. But I’m sure someone with more experience can chime in. Also I’m sure there’s countless of threads or a sticky that would answer your question.
