Maybe RI, is he/she eating? Moving? Keep the temperature Up 80-100
Yes she is on Baytril right now, she’s eating and drinking and pooping. But she does sleep a lot but I read it’s common for babies to sleep a lot? I did start her wrong I have 47% humidity right now which I know is not enough I ordered a new closed enclosure which hopefully will be delivered by this week so I can fix the humidity and hope that it will help her fight off the RI. I have been soaking her as well and putting a wet warm q tip around her nose to try to clear it up. She does occasionally blow bubbles, she seemed to be doing better the other day (open nostrils) not clogged but now she is starting to be the way she was when I bought her.

You should have bought a plastic tote, much cheaper and can keep high humidity in there. I bought a 50 gallon tote for $25 and came with a lid. good luck with your tortoise would you mind posting pictures of the enclose?

It’s a zoo med wooden enclosure, the place I bought her from told me this was “the best one” and then I read all of Tom’s articles and wanted to kick myself because I feel like I am making her worse and I wish I would’ve acted sooner but I was having a hard time finding a “good” closed chamber and I’ve talked to a few people on here and the one I ordered will hopefully fix things. Don’t mind the tin foil I’m doing everything I can to hold head and humidity in until the new one comes.

Take her to the vet.

This is bad advice. A closed chamber will be much bigger, and will maintain MUCH better more stable conditions than a tote with the lights outside.

Nicole has already seen this, but I thought I'd post it here for anyone else reading to learn from:

While combating a respiratory infection, the coldest part of the enclosure should never drop below 85, and ambient daytime temp should rise into the low 90s. This extra heat helps their immune system fight it off and also get their digestive system into high gear to bring the nutrients needed to fight off the infection. These high temps should be kept up for at least two weeks after symptoms disappear. Its also important to maintain daily warm soaks for 30-45 minutes to maintain good hydration with all the extra electrically generated heat.

Under normal circumstances, the night temp should never drop below 80. This is probably the reason for the RI in the first place.
