Brumation

I would like to have my 3 adult marginated tortoises brumate in a fridge this year. We have purchased a full size fridge for this occasion. When should I start soaking them more regularly and stop feeding? Also, what type of substrate should I use and container? Thank you for any assistance.

If you haven’t put any torts into brumation I wouldn’t recommend doing so. If you don’t know the bedding or base info first you could end up killing all your torts.

I mean if you don’t have previous experience putting torts into brumation
