I pulled my Russian out of brumation prep yesterday and fed him. He'd gone without food for about 5 weeks, was getting soaked almost every day and basically hadn't pooped in a couple of weeks. I was getting ready to put him in the fridge when he started getting really active and super hungry -- he was seeking out any tiny desiccated leaf he could find in his box and was eating it, I was afraid he'd accidentally eat too much substrate if he continued, so I decided to feed him and bring him back to regular behavior. I didn't give him a ton of food, but he ate almost everything and pooped like 18 hours later. It was a little bit more liquidy than normal, but nothing crazy.
I thought it takes a really long time for food to go through their system?
is this just normal "break the fast" pooping?
Today he didn't eat a good bit, but not as much, which is probably good...
