Box turtle eggs

My female laid 2 eggs in mid July. We set up a homemade incubator which they have been in. I know boxed turtle eggs take 2-3 months to hatch,
But I still do t know if these are viable or duds. The outsides look good with no dents or mold. When you hold them up to a light you can see "veins" in one and the other eggs looks like it has a black object inside(light will not shine through it). What does this mean? Opinions please for both eggs?

Sounds like you might have one good and one that might not be. Everyone that hatches eggs thoug, say do not count them out until they have exploded or is obviously rotten, so,hang in there.

Be sure not to invert or turn the eggs after you pick them up. Some put a little x on them (carefull they are thin) so they keep them right side up.

One of the eggs hatched yesterday! Baby is doing well. This was from the egg that looked black inside. Now when you hold up the other egg that looked "veiny" inside, it too is black :)
