Biting

Hey! I’ve had a Russian Tortoise for 2.5 years now and he still likes to bite my toes. I let him roam around and he likes head scratches but then he bobs his head and chases after toes! Is this normal?

I'll bet it's a male. Those are scrappy little tortoises, and don't like other tortoises (read toes) in their territory. Perfectly normal.

Yes this behavior is fairly normal, but your tortoise should never be free roaming in the house or outside. No matter how safe you try to make it, or how much you supervise, something bad will eventually happen.
