bing is 4 months old now and just broke 100 grams this week. i love comparing his coloring and how much it changes since i first got him at 2 months of age. leopards are such gorgeous torts.

Sweet! The 100 gram mark is a big milestone for me. Once they hit that size you can usually rest assured that they are past all the scary hatchling stuff.

I'm always amazed at how differently tortoises grow, even if under similar conditions. I've heard someone say their yearlings are usually between 100-200 grams, and mine is over 200 grams at 6 months. It makes me wonder how big it will get. Will the growth continue at a high rate? Suddenly level out?
I think this is one of the fun aspects of being a tortoise owner. Seeing what will happen next.
