Do you mean what part is called the beak or what is it made of? The beak is its mouth and is made up of keratin. Normally just the top portion of the beak will need filing. In the wild they keep it trimmed with grazing, etc. in captivity, feeding them on a ruff flat stone or piece of tile will help keep it filed along with grazing. Otherwise it will sometimes needs to be filed down by its owner.
