Had asked awhile back about Petrie's shell being pliable an was told this is normal. Now that I have Dizzy I am so worried of him failing I feel his shell everyday. His plastron is softer than Petries was. It isn't squish but more pliable. Is this because he is only 5 weeks old?

Shes only 5 weeks old so she should have a somewhat pliable shell. It will harden over time.

OMG 5 weeks, stop worrying, Feeling it everyday won't help your sanity. For now provide sunshine and calcium and keep hydrated.

Calm down and back away from the torts! Let them be for now, no need to worry about the small detail

I would also advise that you restrict weighing to a fortnightly at most. Otherwise you get paranoid about the minutest drop in weight which turns out to be because your tort's just pooped
