What do you think, are they the same as the leaves or would they have different nutrients before they matured and got loaded with sugars?These are from a wild grapevine and it is loaded with them.I put a dime in the pic to show size. Len

That's a good question (I don't know the answer). I would assume they're pretty tart, but that doesn't seem to bother some animals.

I'd let the grapes grow (for human consumption)...and harvest the leaves for the torts!

I pinch off any grape clusters that start. Supposedly that gives you more leaf and vine production. I don't know about the nutrient content of baby grapes either. I don't think I'd feed it to a grass eater, but probably fine for a forest tortoise.

In all honesty I am not 100 percent sure, but I would imagine the nutritional value at that stage is minimal at best, it is best to let them grow and eat them your self and feed the leaves to the tortoises, mine seem to like that arrangement.
