Hello,

I'm just curious to know the average weight for 6 month old Sulcata? I do not know how much my weigh I'm going to check after work but compared to my friends Sulcata's who we both got from the same seller just a few months apart mine are tiny. I have had some issues housing them together. As soon as I joined this forum and was told to seperate them I did right away. I see improvement already. I'm still very new to owning not only one but two sulcata Tortise's so all advice I can get ill take. Thanks

I have 2 as well. They are 6-7 months old. Same batch....and well

Rocky is 80 grams

Apollo is 260 grams

Same diets same routine. Both real healthy.

There really is no meaningful average since growth rates can vary so much due to a wide variety of factors. They can reach 400-500 grams in 6 months, but some of them barely hit 50 grams in that same time span.

A few relevant factors:
1. How they are started right after hatching.
2. How often they are soaked.
3. Humidity and humid hides, or lack there of…
4. Diet.
5. Temperatures, both day and night.
6. Number of tortoises in the enclosure. One would be best, two would be worst, three or more is usually okay with enough space.
