Are these black lines normal?

Hello I've noticed since we've had our leopard tortoise he has had these black lines on his growth lines? Will they go away as he grows more? He is 5 months old now.

Normal and hard to say for sure what the shell pattern will produce during the tortoise life....but beautiful for sure...

Thank you just wasn't sure if those areas won't grow since they aren't white?

What a beauty! I wish mine had more black lines. I have five and I was sure I would have at least a few come in dark but every one of mine is coming in white or light tan. I even have one that looks tinted green!
