I don't plant weeds.. only pretty plants, the weeds volunteer. We plant WEEDS??? OK, then......!!!
It's really so human and discriminating of us to call those lovely volunteers "weeds".I don't plant weeds.. only pretty plants, the weeds volunteer.
If it was one of the wild creeping roses that grab you by the ankle and stab ya through your pants I would call it a weed, along with a few other names. It's really so human and discriminating of us to call those lovely volunteers "weeds".
If a "beautiful" yellow rose grew in the middle of a field of dandelions, it would be a weed, right?
So, what's in a name??? A LOT.If it was one of the wild creeping roses that grab you by the ankle and stab ya through your pants I would call it a weed, along with a few other names.
My definition of a weed is just a plant that has come up in an area I didn't intend it to. For example, found some wild dog violet growing in my yard (it's a weed). I dug it up and moved it into my flower bed in an area that it can spread and more easily be appreciated (now it's my pretty garden plant).
