Alfalfa Meal

Can alfalfa meal be used as substrate? Zilla makes it and it contains suncured aflafa meal and rice bran.
Crude protein(min) 14.7%
Crude fat(min) 3.9%
Crude fiber(max) 24.7%
ash(max) 13.0%

I am currently using bed a beast stuff.

Stick with the bed a beast. If the bed a beast isn't working for you others also recommend cypress mulch or orchid bark.

It's tough for sullys to burrow in alfalfa and it is also not good if they eat it. This thread has some additional thoughts on alfalfa pellets:

Its molds to easily when it gets wet, and you need to provide moisture. it also not good for them to eat.
