Afraid of hibiscus flowers?

My baby leopard tortoise seems to be afraid of hibiscus flowers, I only offered them twice and he "runs" away from it (I'm assuming the bright color is what scares him?). He likes hibiscus leaves but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Mine took a few weeks to dig the flowers. Keep offering them he’ll eventually like them.

Any tortoise takes time to get used to foods it is not familiar with. I too would just drop some in the enclosure once in a while. I guarantee your tortoise will eat it eventually.

for me its the other way around he likes the flowers but not the leaves
