Adult Russian substrate

I made a bigger inside enclosure for my Russian tort. I bought kelloggs organic garden soil at lowes is this a good soil to use? Also if it is how can I take the smell away my house stinks ?

I don't know anything about the brand, but if it's organic, it should be fine. Can you put him outside with it until the smell goes away, or leave just the substrate outside to air out before using it.

Yes it is organic. I can't put the table outside because it is 4 by 8 enclosure. To big to take outside. Next time I will let the topsoil air out before putting it in the enclosure. I do have some glade candles going now hopefully that will help.

Coco coir doesn't :D I would reccomend for the future! Right now, I would take my tort out for a bit and point a fan at it.

I use Coconut Fiber Coir from Petco. It comes in a compressed brick. It works excellent and keeps in the humidity and moisture.

Fun but messy to use.
