A very agressive beta

Hahaha my beta fish jumped up and bit my finger! I was shocked (because I didn't know they could do that) but it didn't hurt more that a pencil scraping your fingertip. I put my finger over the water again and he keeps on jumping DX! He is very fierce :D

How fun is that? Uh, I would be sure to place something over the top in the event he thinks he is a dolphin or something....lol

Betta are known for their jumping abilities! I had one who was in a breeding setup, decide she didn't like the male, so she jumped out of the tank. Poor thing didn't make it :(

He may think that you are bringing him food, also. I did train one once to jump out of the tank for food.

I love betta, they all have their own special personalities.

Betas are great. Mine puffs his gills when ever he wants food. I kinda taught him when I put my finger to the tank he puffs his gills and gets a pellet or some times a meal worm.
