A huge hello from the lone star state!~

I am a new tortoise mommy! I have been doing research for months and finally acquired my bundle of joy today (June 9th, 2014). She is a Russian and my graduation(highschool) present to myself. Her name is La'Toya because she has a real sassy personality. The very first time I held her at Petco she stuck her head out and bravely snorted at me. Then she began the typical pushing with those elephantine legs of hers. Anyway, she is a trip. Almost fearless for a tortoise and I totally love it. Pictures to come~ I don't want to freak her out with a camera all up in her grill >_<.
