A Hellacious Task

Well, we had a random cold snap last week that dipped into the 40s even upper 30s, but warm during the day.

The Russian torts started to burrow as I'd hoped, but now they keep doing it, and we were in the upper 80s today.

They're in brumation mode now, and they're digging deeper and deeper. If I don't get them now it'd be near impossible.

I still have one male to find tomorrow, but the mosquitoes are literally biting me in the back and butt...I can't take it anymore



The hermanns and greek are still fairly active so I guess their time hasn't come yet.

Wow, we have had great weather. Even our nights hasn't been bad, mainly 50-60's. Days, upper 70's even a couple low 80's. Still going to be mid to upper 60's rest of this week and back into a couple 70's next week. Can't believe you have had that cold of nights already. But, crazy weather all over last few years.
