Well turns out I probably won't get a tort. The reason is I got a little surprise. A rottweiler puppy. A guy I know felt bad about the death of my Newfie, so he gave me a free rottweiler. I'm thinking of naming him Bandit.

That's a cool surprise!

You don't have to be tort-less with a dog....but if you do still get one, keep it in a dog proof enclosure

Congrats on the pup! Iv got a 6month old JRT pup, and have a 5yo Russian tort. I have no problem keeping the both, just have to make sure the enclosure is completely dog proof, there are lots of ways around it.
