16# Always cute [emoji16]
I just picked up a bunch of goat head seeds that I am going to very carefully cultivate in a large pot and destroy (by feeding them to all my tortoises) as soon as the green seed heads start to form. I actually just found a whole bunch more where I am today.I'll second this, never thought I'd be into gardening, now i have planter boxes all over and even started cultivating plants my tortoise cannot eat, which means I'm growing them for no other reason than that I like them... The horror.
#15 I'll add that my tortoises have made my schedule absolutely rigid, and i have become more efficient and better at time management.
Oh my...are you sure you don't want to rethink this plan? Is the risk worth it? You know, stuck in the dogs' fur, stuck in the bottom of your shoe to be transferred to your carpet, then found by a bare foot?I just picked up a bunch of goat head seeds that I am going to very carefully cultivate in a large pot and destroy (by feeding them to all my tortoises) as soon as the green seed heads start to form. Yes. I've thought it through. Its is a fantastic tortoise food, grows well in our climate, and the only risk is if you let it go to seed and then let the seed heads dry out. I will simply have to watch it closely and not forget about it for months at a time.Oh my...are you sure you don't want to rethink this plan? Is the risk worth it? No way I would ever bring one of those nearby! [emoji33]

Love it!!!!Can I take mine on the airplane and call him my emotional service companion? Hey . . . they've allowed pot-bellied pigs and llamas. I've got rights too, ya know.
In college (early 70s) I had a calculus professor who only had one leg and did not wear a prosthesis. He used to joke to the class that he couldn't draw a circle on the blackboard because he'd fall down! Pretty amazing guy- I think he was a WWII vet.Yes, stated with a bit of sarcastic humor. I do, however, believe that the plethora of species certified as "ADA approved" has been carried to the extreme in today's permssive society. Shucks, I'm a one legged Vietnam veteran, what should I choose as my service animal? Oh, that's right . . . I have no handicap . . . except on the golf coarse.
Well, I do wear a prosthesis . . . a very nice one supplied be our wonderful VA. As a boy, I liked Hopalong Casidy, now I am Hoppy (actually, I walk quite well, for which I am thankful). In college (early 70s) I had a calculus professor who only had one leg and did not wear a prosthesis. I googled goat weed head and one of the websites had the best idea for killing goat weed...I just picked up a bunch of goat head seeds that I am going to very carefully cultivate in a large pot and destroy (by feeding them to all my tortoises) as soon as the green seed heads start to form. It will be much more fun to feed them to a tortoise when they are still small, green and soft.I googled goat weed head and one of the websites had the best idea for killing goat weed...
