3 Legged RES, should I keep?

I kept him,but he is not here at the beach, he is in Maryland where he will have less competition for food and no chance of him being picked on by the older males I have here, There are no male RES with him just one male painted turtle and a couple females.I think he will be as happy as he can be in his new home. The sparkly things in the pic are scales from the minnow he had just eaten. Len

I would guess by the brightly colored carapace that he is still fairly young...I have a 3 legged box turtle and had a 2 legged pond turtle. They actually get along just fine...

Good to see that he is eating and I am sure he will be happy living with a couple of females with no competition..
