See page 000.247 for a table of the changes. Many will be considered relatively minor to most people. A few to note, some subfamilies were recognized, Mauremys caspica was synonymized with its subspecies, and many subspecies of Kinixys belliana were raised to full species status.
Some matters of disagreement have yet to be resolved. Things that most people may see:
The Southern Painted Turtle is still listed as both Chrysemys dorsalis and Chrysemys picta dorsalis. Additionally, the Florida Mud is not listed as its own species yet, though many consider it to be so. Also, Graptemys ouachitensis still has two subspecies, though many would synonimize ouachitensis and sabinensis.
