The Southern Painted Turtle is still listed as both Chrysemys dorsalis and Chrysemys picta dorsalis. Additionally, the Florida Mud is not listed as its own species yet, though many consider it to be so. Also, Graptemys ouachitensis still has two subspecies, though many would synonimize ouachitensis and sabinensis.
