I have a 100 gallon tank for my new tortoise. Will just one basking light (150 watts) and one UVB tube light be enough? Also, will I need a heating lamp (with no light) for the nights?

Will the tank be covered to hold the heat?
Can we see a picture of it?
What species will you keep in it and what age?

I use a Christmas Tree Storage bin by Iris. I'm sure if it were compared to an aquarium it would be 75 or 100 gallons. It requires the use of three lights to keep it heated to 80-85F degrees.

You just have to test it.

Only your thermometer can answer your temperature questions. Sometimes 35 watts is enough and other times 250 watts is not enough.

What species and size?
