Hi can you advise what type of bulb I should have instead of the coil?

I have just went to give my tortoise his bath and noticed when I picked him up only one of his eyes were open. I can see him trying to open it so have rinsed it with warm water and it seems to have helped a little. Does anyone have any advice I'm worried about the wee guy. Thanks

Yes the chips are ones you can moisten. Yes the bulb is a coil one. If I take the log out is there something else smaller as he likes to sleep in the log.

The temperature when the lamp is on its around 35degress when that goes off the room temperature is around 10-15 degrees. I have the lamp on from 7 in the morning until 20.30. I don't have any heat for night.

I was just going to put it in his little house for extra warmth. I'm in scotland and worried it might get a bit cold at nights as I have noticed him sleeping a lot more. It's a hermann tortoise.
