Hi, Iv had my star tortoise for nearly 2 months now and he's growing very well indeed, almost double in weight. So I thought I'd have a post here to see if anyone can see any signs of pyramiding. Iv been raising him/her in a closed humid environment so hopefully there shouldn't be. Thanks

Hi, Thanks for the replies. Iv got him on Top soil with a layer of coco fibre on the top. Il deffo give longer soaks a go! The only problem I'm having with that is keeping water temps warm they seem to drop pretty quickly. Hopefully he will poo soon!

Hi, Iv had a hatchling Indian star tortoise for the past week. It's been eating everyday but I'm yet to see it poo I give it warm baths everyday for 15 minutes but still nothing. Does any body have any other remedies? If I don't see any poo by sat I will go to the vets I think. Cheers

It has vents in the back which already came with the viv so I didn't have a choice with that but apart from that it's closed and has on average 80% humidity during the day. So is there nothing I can do about the condensation?

Ah I thought so, thanks for the reply. How long do you reckon it will last for do you think? Or would it be best to maybe start looking at another viv and getting It fully sealed with varnish and aquarium sealant?
