I'm always looking to expand my tortoises diet and give him a variety of food. I recently came across this on eBay. Wonder if anyone has ever had an experience with it or something similar to it. Thanks in advance for your opinions and advice

I just read on a Facebook group about russian tortoise enthusiasts that some of the Mazuri food can have "no no's" for Russian tortoises. Anyone heard anything about this? Mine has been using it for almost 2 years and loves it
When I checked on it today, it had closed up quite a bit. I applied some more antiseptic cream. I think he'll be ready to continue his life and in the woods tomorrow.
He's actually quite nice and let me handle him. Simply by touching the abscess it jumped off like cottage cheese. I applied some sudocream, an anti septic healing cream. I'll keep him in my old Russian enclosure for a while to make sure it heals and then I will release him across the street in...
I was able to rescue this guy from the lawn mower in my community. I'm planning on putting him across the street in the wooded area of our park. I noticed that his head seems to be larger than most turtles in my area. He also seems to have a large white mass coming out of one side of his head...
I've been using water to hydrate my Mazuri food for my tortoise. I've recently read some people use fruit juice. Anyone have experience with this and if so, what juice do you recommend?

I'm always looking to mix up my tortoises diet. And I recently came across these Marion zoological red food sticks for the first time. Was wondering if anyone had experience with him and would recommend them?

My cousin currently has two red ear sliders in a 100 gallon tank. She has had them since they were about the size of a silver dollar and they are both now over 6 inches. Her husband doesn't want her to keep them anymore and she's offered to give them to me. He says the water is too dirty and...
I've been thinking of adding roly polys/ pillbugs to my Russian tortoise table. It's a wooden tort table. Do you think they would climb out or stay in? Anyone have any experience with these?
Eddie
I have a large indoor enclosure with one russian in it. I feel bad that he is all alone but I know they harass females and fight with other males. He's a great tort that will eat from my hand and even seems to poop in the same place. (probably by coincidence but makes for easy spot cleanings) Is...
Just found Putter, one of Russians dead. He was fine yesterday when I took him out and walked around the yard. When I found him today in his tortoise table he had weird white pastey stuff coming out of his rectum. Any idea what that was??
*Original post was misleading, changed it
I temporarily housed my 2 Russians in an aquarium while I built a tortoise table. One was active and the other was kinda chill. Now that I've put them in their new table they've switched roles. Could the new environment be affecting them that much?
