looking to build my own hermanne table, he is 5 and I'm just going to upgrade him.
as i cannot afford to buy oak wood i have found this cheap plywood that will do the trick.
my question is, can i get a nice oak wood look with paint and also, will i need to add some form of primer on...

just noticed a yellow tint on the bottom of my little mans shell, hes fine, everything about him is normal, i have had him now 5 years from a baby and had no issues.
just wanted to know if anyone has any info about this or if this is just a standard thing that happens?

my tort is coming up 5, had no issues with him at all but since coming out of hibernation in jan he doesn't seems to poop like he used too.
so i rarely find any in his enclosure but when ever i bath him which i try to 1/2 times a week he poops good,
he seems his usual self tho...

Hi guys, when hibernation your tortoise, you do regular weight checks, but as you do this do you have a quick peak inside or do you just weigh the tortoise/box and check their weight that way? i just wonder if checking by taking the top of ETC may affect the hibernation process?

so i am due to hibernate my tortoise this winter, he is currently 13 month old, what i wanted to know is, how can you tell or keep any eye on your tortoise once they are hibernating to tell if they are still alive without disturbing them?
Hi, guys, noticed my hermann is nibbling his substrate, i use a substrate called aspen bedding, the site where i got it from says its been tested and suitable for hermanns,

how often do you guys worm your tortoise? hugo was born in july of last year and i received him in the august, i have never wormed him to date, but he is a health tortoise, poo and everything is fine and as it should be? just wanted to know how often people worm or if they dont?
Hi, just wanted to ask everyone how they keep there water warm? i get my water warm, but after pouring it in his tub for his bath its literally 2-3 minutes later the water is cold? how do you get around this? as i feel if i leave him in the cold water for too long he wont enjoy it?
