Zola has an absolutely beautiful shell. It's too cold for to come out of the enclosure but she is enjoying her breakfast at the moment.

I spent the afternoon in my local nature reserve and I saw the following:
Gulls
Mallards
Teal
Coots
Moor Hens
Goldfinches
Linnets
Reed Buntings
Avocets
Brent Geese getting ready to go back to Siberia
Canada Geese
Oyster Catchers
Red Shank
I also took pictures of Leigh-On-Sea, Hadleigh Castle, Benfleet, Canvey Island, Westcliff and Southend

Yep and she lays bunny eggs every day 😉 They look like licorice jelly beans. So I have to play connect the dots every day with my whisp broom.😘thank the Good Lord most of them go in the litter box. He created her perfectly.
It's been such a nice day even though I had to go to the grocery store as usual. I know it's a holiday but life goes on and this is my day to grocery shop. I had Mr. Fre with me in his sling. A young maybe 8 girl noticed him and asked if she could pet him . I said well yes but be careful he's teething. She said don't worry I have a puppy and he bites me all the time. The whole thing was precious and the parents thanked me 😊 when we were done. Mr Fre enjoyed it as much as all of us. 🤗He loves people.

Hello, Natrah - Zola does have a lovely shell - I would like to emphasise that he has never had it oiled or polished in any way - he does get stroked a lot, as you know, and I think that's what does it and also keeps it very smooth. In different lights, or with different backgrounds, it can look quite a bit darker -but in the right light, it can really glow.
