Hi All Have just been for a routine check up with my tort vet before I hibernate Herbie for the first time. This last 3 months we've indentified her as a girl - she's about 7 years old now. He scanned her and said she was producing eggs (a little young but said it was because she was in...

Torts just hate change! Hermann's though are quite sociable little things so I find Herbie likes to be around us in...

    Hermanns dancing/ trying to itch?

Sometimes when Herbie's growing I make sure she has regular warm baths and then when she's out I get a cotton wool pad and rub a little olive oil into her shell and in to the scutes which makes the dry bits disappear and she also seems to love having her shell rubbed!
