    Thanks all that gave me advise..My tortoises were very lethargic.. hiding most of the time.. spoke to "professional" today who said a 100w heat lamp is fine and they can cope with it. That was total rubbish..which I told him, I decreased the heat to 60W.. now have a temp of 32/35 and a humidity...

    Is not an open top is a vivarium, goes up to 41 .. I had a feeling it was too hot as babies are shading a lot and not mobile for long periods.     Hi, worried about the temp and humidity for my baby hermans. Temp is 38 degrees c and humidity 60/70 when I mist.. is this ok ?? However, really quickly the humidity drops and the temp goes up.. help, any advise please.

    Hi, having trouble with humidity levels and temp.. levels are ok after I mist 60/70 % humidity and temp at 38 degrees C. However humidity starts to drop quickly and temp goes up ?? can anyone confirm what the levels should be and how to maintain, many thanks

    I have four adult tortoises, but very new to babies.. my Hermann laid ( not buried ) 8 eggs, we thought not viable but four have hatched, one sadly has not made it and awaiting news on three others.. Here they are having their bath !!

    Thank you..The only thing that is in at the moment is the food/water tray which is submerged into the bark, so more or less level .. will post a pic soon, thanks

    Hi, my tortoise laid 8 eggs in July, did not bury so thought may not be viable, anyway incubated them and we now have 4/5 and awaiting the other three. This is a massive surprise !! I have four adult tortoises but very new to looking after babies.. They seem to be doing fine in their vivarium...
