Beautiful. I hope he/she isn't in pain though, That's a pretty severe case. Their spine runs along the middle of the shell and becomes deformed with the shell as it pyramids and causes the animal pain. A few things can cause pyramiding, (this site has great info) but its usually insufficient...

That's what I thought too. An yes they are quite a bit larger than her eggs from last year. She really struggled this time. Huffing an puffing, squeeking, straining, grunting went on all day til she finally got the first one out last night. The second was about 30 mins later
