@Tom: We're currently at 119 days since laying (we have a precise laying date).
Do you know the maximum hatching period for Hermann's/Greeks by any chance?
Best regards -
Dave
@Tom, I've no incubator, and if these eggs hatch it will be outside.
If I follow the instructions at your link, can I keep their box in one of the tanks already running for the 7 year olds?
They're at 75% humidity, and around 25 Celsius (night-time 18 Celsius).
The bigger of the two tanks is 2...
Morning everyone,
Our 90-year-old female laid again this summer, out in the open garden where she spends her summers.
We're protected the eggs from predators, and now lag them overnight as it's getting chilly.
We're now at laying +90 days.
In case the eggs do actually hatch, I'd appreciate some...
Thanks Blackdog1714.
Plants will, I guess, come along next year. This is the first year for these new terrariums and we're still getting to know them.
Dave
I don't think we'll be planting before the next time we refresh the substrate.
This (the terrariums) is purely for them to come out of hibernation and for them pre-hibernation. The rest of the time they're outside day and night.
Hi everyone,
We are, as advised on these forums, moving to 100 percent orchid bark for our indoor enclosures (six-year-old Hermanns).
One of the two suppliers we're talking with always puts coal in her orchid bark, but would (of course) omit perlite, etc.
My question: Should we avoid coal?
Big...
Thank you Tom.
I'm working on that.
I now have that as a daytime temperature where he's buried, at the "cool" end.
I'll check tonight if that holds up at night. If I find I have trouble getting that temperature, I'll move him up into the slightly smaller tank with his smaller cousin, at least...
