Yep!
Gary is still kickin’.
He is turning 5 in June!!!!!
Pictures to follow…..😉
Has his shell grown bigger? I wonder how long they can live when they are protected. I sort of became interested in snails while living in Florida. Especially the apple snail. It was said back then that they are extinct but I wonder if they really were. I used to find their shells and still have some. Some were large and looked old. Others were small and looked too fresh to be from an animal that no longer exists.

Good evening/afternoon all - Happy Earth Day (although it's gone midnight here).
It's been a busy week involving hospital appointments and visitors - even one of the feathered kind.
I rescued a baby white pigeon who had been disturbed by people trimming hedges. It couldn't fly but not far off fledging. Anyway I left if for 7 hours in case the parents were close to take charge, but when I went back it was still alone. As it was almost dark I took it home and then next day took it to a bird rescue who tell me he's quite settled with other casualties they have and getting stronger so they'll release it as soon as it can fly.

The weather hasn't been too bad this week - Lola has had a few sunny hours in the garden, but there's plenty of rain about over the weekend and next week with temps set to drop into the 40s again.

I hope you're all having a good weekend!

Sapphire got to go outside 3 times this week. It's been warm but today it's dropped to the 50'sf. It's been rainy here also the last couple of days. Still it's been a good weekend with a baby shower 🚿 and family getting together. The bird feeder camera is back up and running. Some of the larger birds are finally accepting the new food. Maybe they just like getting their picture taken 😁. When I took it down I didn't see much of the Cardinals and Jay. All the finches and doves love the food. I've not seen even one brown headed cowbird so far. Yeah 👍!!!! Hopefully they haven't done too much damage to the birds that frequent my yard. The starlings are as usual trying to gobble everything up but not so much the grackles. Maybe they'll head south for a summer vacation 😜🤗🙏

When the Rose plant dies you'll be left with whatever plant it was grafted on. They do that so you can have survivability of the Rose plant. Mine was very old so I don't have a high probability of finding the plant now. It even smelled good too. I saw by Google there's several different plants that they use for Florida roses. If the Rose was bought in Florida it's likely to be one of those.
Wow that's very interesting!

I thought so too. When it happened to me I didn't really have access to the internet but also the rose was really old to begin with. Probably at least 40 years old by now. This was back in the 90's. I'm thinking they may use different plants over the years as research goes on as to what plants can be used to do this for roses.

Nice pics Mark, was chilly yesterday so I'm glad that you were able to get out when it was so nice out! I'll look in the sky in a couple hours driving to work, I can see the stars in the skylight so it must be clear out.

I was waiting for my edge/corner pads to arrive to paint the corners before I set the fixtures, they didn't show till I was done yesterday so we'll do that stuff during the week.

Wrote this around 2am, then fell asleep and hightailed it to work at 4....clouds had rolled in, not that I would have seen much anyway but I've seen a fireball close enough to swear I saw the burning on it's surface and it was going to hit within miles before it burnt up over Belgium or someplace like that.....but I look anyway. Just do.

You picked a chilly day Mark, but enjoy!!

I love you too Ms Cathie! LOL Maybe if I show you a picture of #2 daughter's Hazel, she can move it, with you guys? LOL Hazel really is a beautiful bunny.......

Saw Dr Chiro today......Old people used to say, the proof is in the pudding, or something that sounded like that(maybe 1 of our residents can clarify).....as a gauge to how my migraines are doing; I have bottles of my rizatriptan! In 30 years, I've never had bottles as in plural! I have gone from 130-180mg to 20mg per month over the past 8wks. I pay a 50 buck copay ea week & I got his first bill yesterday thru April 14th. It also included the Dry Needling that my ins didn't pay for.....it was 102 bucks! LOL, wow, just wow! Anyone who is dealing with or has dealt with long term chronic pain, there really isn't a check that you wouldn't write, if you could write one that would make it go away forever. I thought real hard about that before I opened his bill in case it was $2,000. I'm pretty floored by it all, in a good way.

Poor daughter, learned the hard rule about taxes....LOL....l love watching them grow up! LOL

You have a pair in one shot, nice!

I'll have to ask her to send me a "glamour pic" of Hazel. I hate to admit it but I really like the bunny and will sneak in carrots while daughter is at work but I don't tell her.
Razberri is a crazy rabbit. She won't eat her veggies and literally shakes her head no if I try to give her some. They're so funny and probably one of the cleaner animals to have as a house pet. I'm looking forward to a picture.🤗

We have a rabbit that I think has made a home under our shed. The other day there were 2 babies 2 in the backyard. I hope they learn to show themselves in the evening. When I saw them it was midday. They won't last long hanging in the backyard midday with the hawks flying around.

My daughter lamented on Tues that she wanted to see baby bunnies, I told her to go to Tractor Supply, but don't buy anything! She said, no, outside since we often get a nest like yours Ray....then we chatted about the fox I saw a week or two ago. We won't see bunnies till she finishes raising her liter and moves on or gets hit by a car.

They usually don't come out of the nest for a while Ray but they grow fast, if they make it. I hope they do so you guys will be able to enjoy them.
