Hi y'all! We are the proud new accidental owners of a beautiful adult leopard tortoise found wandering on a friend's farm here in KY. She is in great shape, around 20lbs., but she hates being soaked! We have had other reptiles, including box turtles for years, and never had one dislike soaking as much as Flash does. Lol. Any suggestions?
We've soaked her twice (once each week we've had her) and she has not defecated in the water like our other reptiles. She has had one large bm and it looked fantastic. She eats like a trooper, loves her veggies and hay, so I'm not worried about dehydration. She is healthy and active besides that. Just wanted to know what's normal and what's not.
She's an amazing creature and we are all enthralled with her!?
