The pellets are bad that the sulcatas are on. As for the leopard, that's not a proper enclosure and the information is all wrong. Please forgive my ignorance, What is the problem you see with the add's?
Yes, you can bet some good animals off craigs list. However, they are usually raised poorly and have all the wrong info. You are actually rescuing themIf you have taken the time to educate yourself enough to know what to look for , I see nothing wrong with buying off CL . I got Speedy off CL and he has done well in the last 4 years .

as they are started wrong and need lots of improving, specially hatchlings.
I'm talking tortoises, not all animals. It doesn't make the animal lesser because it came from CL. I'd rather people check out CL in their areas when looking for a tort and don't want to do shipping, or wants too rescue. The animals are still great animals. However, their care usually not so much. Either they are fed wrong, too small of an enclosure, wrong/bad substrate, wrong temps, etc. I also said specially hatchlings. Older torts rescued have already survived the uninformed care or wasn't raised by the ones selling. Of course there's always exceptions.I don't know that it is fair to make a "blanket" statement like that , I have purchased several pets off CL that have all done well . As I said the key is educating yourself enough to know a healthy animal from a sick one. Observation is also key , looking at how the animal lives is important to me ! Here are a few of my , what you would call "Rescues" ?

If you have either one and don't see what's wrong, please read the care sheets.
