My name is Jayne and I have just become a very happy owner of Harriet a red foot tortoise. She is settling in well although is a little shy.
We live in Calgary Alberta. She is one of many pets. She is very loved by everyone. View attachment 191738

Thank you. I did have a look at your link. I don't think I am doing anything glariously wrong. Do you see anything that is a concerning you?Hello, Jayne and a vey warm welcome to Tortoise Forum to you and Harriet.
Pretty tortoise.
Have you seen http://www.tortoiseforum.org/threads/beginner-mistakes.45180/ ?
And take a look at our Redfoots section for lots of good advice and tips.
Also http://www.tortoiselibrary.com/ is very good for advice on the care of Redfoots.
Nice to have you both with us.
Thanks for the advice. I'll be sure to get some.I don't keep redfoots myself so can't comment in detail, but it looks pretty good to me.
I would go for digital thermometers and hygrometers at substrate level myself, those stick on the wall ones are not as accurate, in my opinion.
Otherwise, great!
