They make such a mess. I can't stand to stay there and watch them drag substrate through the food and walk all over it. Believe it or not, it started out looking pretty darned clean.

The redfooted tortoises all finished with their bounty:



The desert tortoises that I couldn't allow to hibernate this winter, and they're mostly finished too:



I'll be so glad when everyone can be put outside for the summer.

Yes, she's my constant companion. We're always together.

With all the tortoises you have you need to have your connections or you would go broke trying to feed the mall all winter.

I'm so lucky to receive the 'left overs' that I get. It's not always the 'normal' things we like to feed tortoises, but beggars can't be choosers.

Yeah...I put my Russians out a couple days ago and today it's raining. There's no way I can find them in that jungle, so I just have to hope they'll be ok in the rain.
