Samantha, that looks like a compact florescent light (coiled) on the right in the photo.

You may be able to stop a serious issue before it starts.
The type of light I'm referring to causes blindness in tortoises....Though MOST pet shops sell them.
Two quick reasons, Glendalk.
1)Russian tortoises can climb mesh and wire.
2)You will never be able to have the humidity level that you need in such a breezy thing.
