Lots of Sulcata mating before eggs....no mating after, is that normal?

My male Sulcata was on the female nearly constantly for the month or two or more before she laid eggs. Afterwards he seems to have lost interest in her. Do the females have cycles the males can determine? His total interest now is his tunnel to China that she sometimes also stays in.

The loss of interest is unusual and I suspect temporary. That is why they should never be housed as a pair. The constant harassment will stress her into sickness and eventually death. They should each have their own enclosure.
