Its real simple. When you go up to a pen or yard of adult babcocks they don't come running over to see what you are up to, GENERALLY. When you go up to a pen of pp they do. My experience with dozens of babcocks is more like Yvonne's. My experience with dozens of pp is more like what happens when you walk up to a typical sulcata pen.
It great that you guys all feel that YOUR babcock has some personality. Wonderful. I'm happy for you. Really. But in general, from what I've seen, they tend to be less personable than the pp. Not always. Not every time. Not every day no matter what. Just GENERALLY.
I'm not "needling you," just straightening out your apparent (and frequent) bashing on the personalities of babcocki. I can't help but think it has something to do with your recent fascination of them, combined with many you've recently sold, and many in your future breeding plans. There just isn't a noticeable difference. You may have seen what you've seen, but that's gotta be an exception on the specific ones you saw, whether is was extra friendly pardalis or extra shy babcocki. Many people here have personable babcocki, myself included. Mine don't flinch when I'm in their pens, and they'll eat while I'm dumping out the food 12 inches away. I just don't see where you're getting it.
While I'm here, the word "babcock" sounds like the title of a porno. It's "babcocki."
