Am thinking of getting a baby leopard, about 4 months old, would it be smart to keep him in a smaller enclosure to make it easier to control the environment ,heat humidity ect.

We keep our babies in 10 gallon rubbermaid tubs until they are about 3 - 4 inches, we find it easier to control the parameters to where we want them in small to medium size enclosures for hatchlings indoors. Our outdoor pens are quite large though, so they can get some exercise. This time of year they are about 50% inside and 50% outside during the daylight hours.

With all that being said, I recommend going as large as you can while not making your husbandry parameters too much of a burden on you.

Some suggestions:

Thanks Neal , I will start with a ten gallon to be on the safe side. Is it ok to take him out and put him in a large enclosure once a day for some exercise
