Does anyone keep their yearlings in a safe outdoor enclosure for natural light, humidity, etc?

I made this one for some young cherry head red foot tortoises. They outgrew it and I've raised three young box turtles in it for almost a year. It has a 1/2 inch hardware cloth bottom and is a foot tall. It's filled about 1/2 way with peat moss and cypress mulch.

I use a "play-pen" for my little ones. The bigger spieces, sulcatas and leopards, go in one that has no to so I have to stay out with them. The smaller ones actually have a crate with a bottom and top so they can not dig or climb out and preditors can not dig or climb in.
