I cook for my dogs, and one of the ingredients is cooked yams. so i kept a chunk out for the turtles. I put it on the dish today, cut it in half. About half the size of a golfball in total. I put 4 large mealworms on the plate with it. I saw them going for the mealworms, which i figured. but they really devoured the yams as well. There is hardly any left. I am so happy they enjoyed something other than live food.

Yay, add one more food to the list of things they'll eat. Its a frustrating game sometimes to see what they'll go for.

I swear my pair would eat their body weight in yams. The only other food my beasties get that excited for is husk tomato, aka ground cherry. Look for those in the summer.
