Yesterday while shpping for a dorm style refrigerature (the family has an adversion to the seeing herp food in freezer ?), I came across wine coolers. There was a small one for about $90 that would hold 4 or 5 med size torts and had an adjustable temp range of 40 to 60 degrees. Has anyone ever used one these or cosidered it for hiberating torts ?

Itort i have never done this myself but i have heard of it being done. if i remember correctly you need to make sure you ventilate the cooler so that oxygen is replenished.

when i first read the post title i thought you had found a Wine cooler shaped like a tortoise and i got all exited. hahahaha i like the idea though if it would work.

I have read somewhere that wine coolers work good for hibernating torts because they don't freeze.
