That is a new one for me. I don't know if it is a problem or not. Could be some sort of minor growth anomaly leftover from the care he got before you had him. Could be something due to your wetter climate. Either way, it won't hurt to scrub at it with a soft toothbrush and a little betadine, once a day for a few days. If it is any kind of infection, that would clear it up. If its not any kind of infection, a betadine scrub won't hurt anything.

I wish I knew more MaryT... I would take the advice of anyone who says they have seen that before over mine. I'll PM the Doc and see if anything strikes him.

Thanks Tom. He has like 4 spots.. I have scrubbed at it but not with anything but water. Doesn't seem to bother her at all. Maybe it's cellulite or dimples..

Looks like it is an area from an old "growth plate" injury. If you have any doubts, a simple scraping and cytology can be done to look for deep seated bacteria or fungal hyphae. (this will cause some actual damage to a possibly undamaged shell though).

Ya I think that might be a little extreme.. I'll just keep watching it and call it her beauty marks. She had one when we got her but as she is growing by leaps and bounds I have noticed a couple more.. Could it be a scare if she was bite early on by like a dog or something?
